AHP Ideal Mode

Starting with version 6.10.10, LDW will offer the Analytic Hierarchy Process Ideal mode for comparing alternatives or measure labels.  This option adds to the already available options for converting measure levels to common units -- continuous utility/value functions, direct specification of values, "classic" (distributive) AHP, adjusted AHP and AHP SUF.

Integrated Logical Decisions Portfolio tool now available

Logical Decisions has released an version of its Portfolio tool that is fully integrated with Logical Decisions version 6.1.  The new version replaces the previous version that functioned as an Excel add-in.  In addition to the all-in-one functionality provided by the new version, LDW Portfolio version 6.1 includes many new features, including the ability to solve portfolio problems using benefit/cost and benefit/cost with constraints solution algorithms.  The new version also introduces the concept of alternative variants, which are simplified options based on variations of a baseline alternative description.  For a free trial of the Logical Decisions portfolio features, please contact Logical Decisions by clicking here.

LDW Portfolio is designed for situations where you want to select a set of alternatives based on budgetary and other constraints. The most common application where this situation comes up is in selecting a set (or "portfolio") of research and development (R&D) projects to fund based on a limited total budget. When selecting the projects you want to pick those projects that have the best expected performance relative to their price. That is, you want to get the most "bang for the buck."

LDW Portfolio uses the ranking results from an LDW analysis for the "bang" part of the equation. It then lets you add cost and other information to identify the portfolio of alternatives that best meet your needs.  The integrated LDW Portfolio version is priced at $2,789.00.
